THE OPERA STAGE’S VISION IS TO REVOLUTIONISE THE WAY THAT THE OPERA INDUSTRY WORKS.

 

We believe in changing the flow of information within the opera industry - the way companies and artists interact - by opening all unpaid opportunities (jobs, competitions, Young Artists Programs, training courses, masterclasses, awards/scholarships, etc.) to artists free of charge. Only paid job opportunities will be included in our paid subscription. This will put the artists in the driver’s seat and will allow companies to reach a larger audience.

The idea for The Opera Stage was hatched in the sun on the terrace café of London's Royal Festival Hall over several strong coffees in the spring of 2013 by two entrepreneurial singing colleagues. The company was launched in June, 2013 as a simple Jobs & Audition Information service. After a couple of years Stephen opted to focus on The Opera Stage, decamping to Berlin and its thriving start-up scene.

The Opera Stage re-launched in September 2017, expanding on its offerings, and adding a full opera industry directory and administration tools both for artists and agencies. Our main offices are in Berlin, Stockholm and Amsterdam. We also have job scouts in London and Boston.
